Life Story for Rose Friedenberg (Belfer)

Rose  Friedenberg (Belfer)
Rose Friedenberg, 97, born April 19, 1919, in Fort Dodge, Iowa passed away on August 26th. Rose was the youngest daughter of four children to Bessie and Abraham Belfer. She was the loving wife of Dr. Martin Leon Friedenberg. She is survived by her four children, Tess Tessler, Julie Berner, Linda Bjork and Andy Friedenberg, three sons in law Ken, Edgar, Ernest, and one daughter in law, Beth and three grandchildren, Julie Wilson, Tracey Cohen, and Laura LaVigne and three great grandchildren, Kyra, Sydney and Tabatha.

Rose and Martin had a wonderful and active life traveling the world, attending theater and films, and enjoying an active social life within the San Diego community. She was an active Mah Jong player and had many lasting friendships through that social event. She loved film, theater, books, cooking, travel and her family. Rose was an active member of many organizations including Hadassah, ORT, Brandeis, Jewish Community Center and the Cinema Society of San Diego. A private service will be held with the family.
