Our family wants to offer our thoughts and prayers on your loss of Mel Hammer.

In 2013 I set up a trip on Honor Flight San Diego for my Father, Dick Boster. It just so happens that my Son's friend Ashley said that she had a co-worker from Home  Depot on the same flight - Mel Hammer.

We were able to meet Mel, and as a matter of fact I have pictures of him on the Honor Flight trip. Although I did not know him well, it was obvious in our conversations over three days that Mel was a kind and gentle soul. It was an honor to accompany these two United States Veterans on their trip to Washington D.C.!
