My Uncle Jack was, without adoubt, the biggest Trojan fan there ever was! I was visiting in December and all he could talk about was going to see his team play in the Holiday Bowl on the 30th. He was like a little kid, so excited. His eyes would lignt up every time he spoke about it. Although I'm not a football fan his enthusium was contagious and I found myself so excited for him to be able to do this, thanks to our very good friend Renee. I'm so happy that he was able to see them play in person, one last time.
The other love of Uncle Jack's life was Helen. He talked about her as much as he did the Trojans. He wasn't happy that he couldn't see Helen as often as he liked but fortunately he was able to spend Christmas day with her and her family. Helen was always so sweet to Uncle Jack, he was very lucky to have had her in his life.
I always teased Uncle Jack, telling him he was the biggest pain in the butt, but I really miss him. This house is so quiet without him here, no stories to listen to, no weird jokes to laugh at, no fussing at my Poppa. It will be awhile before life without Uncle Jack will feel normal.
I love you Uncle Jack.
