Condolence: Lonnie was an amazing individual who helped me tremedously in wading through the vast array of confusing and conflicting medical data and statistics on myeloma. My brother was diagnosed with the same disease in 2009 and via a complex web of connection I was told that I need to talk to Lonnie if I want to stay ahead of the doctors. So I called him from Switzerland and we spent an hour on the phone discussing the options for my brother. Lonnie then finished our discussion by telling he that he had to leave as he had an appointment. It turned out that he was getting married the next day and was understandably a little preoccupied. We then exchanged emails all through his allo transplant torture and continued afterwards once he was able to type again. Sadly we never met but I am very glad that we had many occasions to speak. His research into Myeloma and his whitty and informative blog will be of help to sufferers globally. My deepest condolences to Ivonne and the children. Steve Rees
