Arlene was born in New York and was an incredible student while also being incredibly beautiful. She excelled in school. She graduated NYU School of Commerce, Accounts and Finance where she was a member of Iota Nu Sigma, an insurance honorary society, and Ropes, a real estate honorary society. She received her law degree from New York Law School and practiced as a lawyer and a financial planner. She also held her real estate and travel agent licenses. Her passions included reading, magic (a passion that she shared with her beloved husband, Joel) and singing. She participated in many choirs throughout San Diego and was famous for her rendition of Nella Fantasia. Arlene married Joel on August 9, 1964 and thus began their adventures which including traveling throughout most of the world. While in San Diego, they enjoyed spending time at the dog park, going to magic meetings, visiting with friends and family and going to choir practices. Although Arlene & Joel had enjoyed many fine meals, Arlene was fond of a good meal from Souplantation or Rubios and was especially fond of anything made of chocolate. Arlene also loved swimming, going boogie boarding and spending time growing rare fruits in the backyard. Arlene leaves behind two daughters, four grandchildren, a host of friends and memories that will live on in the hearts and minds of those who knew her.
