Helen Goldbarg Press of San Diego passed away in her home on Monday July 8, 2013. Helen was born in Toronto, Canada, to Miriam and Harry Greenblatt, on July 29, 1924.

At the age of 19, she left Toronto and ventured west to Southern California, where she soon met and married the late Irving Goldbarg. Together they built a fine life in San Diego, raising three boys and staying active in local Jewry.

A few years following Irving's death in the late 70's, Helen married the second great love her of life, Dr. Bernard Press, with whom she shared her last 30 years; traveling to Optometric Shows, and enjoying their six grandchildren: Lisa, Ilana, Ryan, Jaclyn, Griffin, and Dustin.

In addition to husband Bernie, Helen is survived by her sons and daughters-in-laws Alan (Cheryl), Michael (Robin) and Barry (Joni), all of the greater San Diego area.

She is also survived by four siblings, David Green and Leah Berenstein of Toronto, Jack Greenblatt of Cincinnati and Frieda Enchin of Detroit.
